Tip One: Band width matters
A size 9 ring with a dainty 1.5mm band? It’s likely to warp or break over time. We adjust band thickness based on finger size and stone scale for long-term durability.
Tip Two: Prong size & spacing
Oversized prongs on a small diamond make the stone look smaller. Undersized prongs on a larger gem? Risky. We custom tailor prong shape and scale to balance security and beauty.
Tip Three: Diamond cut depth
Two stones can be the same carat weight, but if one is too deep or shallow, it won’t sparkle the same and it can throw off the entire setting. We handpick diamonds that meet our ideal depth ratios, not just carat weight.
Tip Four: Design limitations
Some designs just don’t hold up with everyday wear (especially ultra-thin bands or high settings). We’ll gently steer you toward what actually works for your lifestyle.
